The Early Bird Catches The Worm

Not here on our farm. We have a Red Wiggler Worm Farm!

We have the happiest worms around, there is no chance that a bird or other predators will eat them. We have cozy worm beds for them which are shaded during the summer months. They are fed a diet of decomposing food and cardboard. We keep their beds moist to keep them at the right temperature. After a couple of months pass, we collect their casting and use that as organic fertilizer.

Our STEM Director, Josh Chlarson is gearing up for the fall school season to start so we can host our local school children on the importance and benefits of the Red Wiggler Worms on our farm. Educating our children to gain knowledge of organic gardening. The natural fertilizer also benefits the soil to grow the food here on our farm. The vegetables we grow and harvest here go into our food pantry and are distributed to our community.
